Submitted by sarah on Fri, 08/31/2007 - 10:01pm.
September 8th from 5pm to 9pm in Inverness Olde Towne on the lawn of the Historic Court House we are hosting the first annual 2007 Uncle Sam Jam showcasing 20 local not profit organisations. This will be a wonderful family activity featuring fun, food, music and games. The 2007 Uncle Sam Jam will help these fine organisations by helping them support their missions selling their displaying their information and selling their wares. Many of our merchant members will be on hand to display their wares as well.
We will have a Mom's Apple Pie baking contest with local celebrities and dignitaries judging. Mmmm, can't you just smell those fabulous pies baking now? Also, upstairs on the 2nd floor of the Historic Inverness Olde Towne Courthouse there will be a wine tasting event sponsored by the Historical Society and conducted by Publix for a nominal fee. Anyone wanting to enter a pie should contact Ritzy Rags and Glitzy Jewels by September 4th. Come on girls! Let's see who really is the best pie baker in Inverness.
You won't want to miss this one!
