20th Annual Floral City Strawberry Festival All Day Event Location: Floral Park Floral City - Hwy. 41, 2 ½ miles south of Floral City Parking for this event is available at the Citrus County Fair Grounds with a free shuttle service running continuously to and from Floral Park. Limited additional parking is available at Floral Park. Handicapped parking is limited. Hours: Saturday 9-5, Sunday 9-4. Cost: $2.00 per person admission, children under 12 are free. The primary focus of the event is of course, the celebration of strawberries - by the berry, by shortcake, by the flat or covered in chocolate! This year's event will again feature strawberry delicacies to tempt the palette. Over 120 craft vendors (all work done by hand) will offer an array of items to please all areas of interest. Each day will include continuous live entertainment, contests, children games and activities and over 200 art and craft booths and over 25-food booths to tempt your appetite. Special features include an antique car show, pony rides, rock climbing wall, pie eating contest and Strawberry Princess pageants & continuous children's activities. Two fun filled days of art, crafts, games, contest, prizes and delicious food will take place on Saturday and Sunday, March 4th and 5th at the 19th Annual Floral City Strawberry Festival at Floral Park in Floral City, Florida (located on Hwy. 41, 2 ½ miles south of Floral City). Festival admission is $2 per person, children under 12 years old are admitted free. Email: The old fashioned festival will begin on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Each day will include continuous live entertainment, and contests. Citrus Antique Cars will be out again on Saturday, displaying those awesome antique cars to all and the Citrus County Cruisers will be out on Sunday, displaying their classic cars for all to see! STRAWBERRY PRINCESS PAGEANT The Citrus County Chamber of Commerce would like to invite contestants to participate in our Little Miss Strawberry Princess and our Miss Strawberry Princess Pageants at our 19th Annual Strawberry Festival in Floral Park at Floral City. The pageant, sponsored by Fantastic Sams, will be held on Saturday with the Little Miss Strawberry Princess Pageant beginning at 9:00 a.m. and the Miss Strawberry Princess Pageant at 10:00 a.m. Contestants must be at least four years old but not older than twelve years old by March 4, 2005. Contestants must be a resident of Citrus County. Winners duties include riding in the annual Christmas parades in both Inverness and Crystal River. Applications may be obtained at the Citrus County Chamber of Commerce office located at 214 W. Tompkins Street in Inverness or 28 N.W. Hwy 19 in Crystal River or in Homosassa Springs at 3495 S. Suncoast Blvd. There is no entry fee and the applications must be returned to the Chamber office by February 24th. If for any reason the event is canceled, the contest will be held on Sunday at the same times indicated above. VENDORS We are always looking for new quality hand-made craft vendors, fine artists and food vendors. All crafters and artists work must be handmade by the vendor present. Applications can be obtained by calling 352/726-2801. Deadline for all participants is January 6th, 2006. Spaces fill up quickly, so don't hesitate! This festival has been voted Best of the Best amongst Citrus County residents for over 6 years. We strive hard to maintain a great working relationship with our vendors.
